Atlanta, Georgia, June 16, 1998 - Music You Can Read meets national standards in elementary music education! Paul Lehman, Ph.D.., Chairman, National Standards in Music Education Committee, has expressed his support and enthusiasm for "Music You Can Read." "Your materials appear to be based on premises that most music teachers can support," Dr. Lehman stated, "and they appear to be entirely consistent with the national standards for music education," he said. Dr. Lehman also spoke of the need for increasing expectations and higher standards in music education. "I believe our profession needs more of the kind of initiatives you are taking, and I wish your every success," he said.

Jess Buice, CEO, Music Notes, Inc., was excited to receive the news, "we are very happy to have such a well respected member of the music education community support our goal to teach all children how to read music. It is a team effort in education. Dr. Lehman has been tireless in his efforts to bring the benefits of music education to the attention of parents, teachers, and music educators for many years. Having such a respected authority support our efforts brings added motivation to our national goal of music literacy for all."
