Additional Information
Atlanta, Georgia, November 11, 1999 - Jess Buice, founder of Music Notes, Inc. has been invited to showcase "Music You Can Read" at the Georgia Music Educators Convention, January, 2000. Kay Lovingood, chairperson of the elementary division, has scheduled the presentation for Saturday at 10:45 at the Hyatt Regency, Savannah.

Mr. Buice, a former Georgia All State participant while attending Jonesboro Jr. High, expressed his joy at returning to GMEA as a presenter. Receiving the invitation, Mr. Buice remarked, "it is very gratifying to be asked by your peers to present "Music You Can Read." While attending Jonesboro Jr. High and Jonesboro Sr. High, with Mrs. Ada Weaver, we participated in clinics under the direction of Dr. Nat Frazier. I am very excited the elementary division has asked Music Notes, Inc. to bring sight-reading materials to the elementary in-service agenda."

Established in 1996 to bring the "language of music" to all children, Music Notes, Inc. publishes "Music You Can Read" a supplemental curriculum teaching all children to read music during their primary and elementary school years. "Music You Can Read" is unique in offering song selections formatted as beats, rhythm, solfeggio, pitch numbers, letter names, music only, and text. Music Notes, Inc. maintains the Internet sites, http://musicnotes.net and http://musicyoucanread.com providing teachers, parents, administrators, universities, and all persons interested in teaching music, access to "Music You Can Read."
