Music lessons are now available in your home school setting. All children can learn to read music, brain research suggest they should! As adults, many of us wish we had been given the opportunity to read and play music. Today, ALL children can have this opportunity!

If you can keep a steady beat, you can teach your children to read music using "Music You Can Read."

Pick a song you sang as a child and, using the formats, teach the counting of the beats, chanting the rhythm, singing the pitches and you have the tune. Using the pitch Letter Names format and you can play the tune at your home piano, keyboard, or xylophone. In time you will master the concepts and begin reading new selections, just as your students will.

Many methods work well in the Home School setting. While you enjoy listening to your favorite classical music selection, your children can be completing a "Secret Code" puzzle, learning about music's history! "Music You Can Read" provides your students the foundations needed to join middle school band, orchestra, or chorus with confidence!
