Atlanta, Georgia, January, 2001 - Music You Can Read adds Recorder Charts to "Music You Can Read." Continuing to improve on the most advanced elementary music curriculum, and, the only curriculum dedicated to teaching all elementary students to become musically literate before advancing into middle school, Music Notes, Inc. has added Color Recorder Charts. Why colored charts? Jess Buice, founder and CEO of Music Notes, Inc. answered, "our goal is to make the learning fun, easy, and student focussed. The color charts, and the beginning songs, using colored pitches, allow students to progress at their own individual pace and discover another way to transfer music notation to another instrument. That the recorder strengthens fine motor skills is also a positive outcome. This continues our desire to teach all children how to read music, develop disciplined practice skills, and in turn reinforce neural pathways for language development." Recorder charts are available to all members, and as an added bonus, can be printed and sent home. "After the beginning songs are known, students can then choose from any of the songs in "Music You Can Read" to play." Buice added, "no additional method books are needed. Students are encouraged to work in groups and form ensembles to play songs of their choosing." Established in 1996 to bring the "language of music" to all children, Music Notes, Inc. publishes "Music You Can Read" a supplemental curriculum teaching all children to read music during their primary and elementary school years. "Music You Can Read" is unique in offering song selections formatted as beats, rhythm, solfeggio, pitch numbers, letter names, music only, and text. Music Notes, Inc. maintains the Internet sites, http://musicnotes.net and http://musicyoucanread.com providing teachers, parents, administrators, universities, and all persons interested in teaching music, access to "Music You Can Read." |
