Available Workshops:

• Meeting National Standards in the Elementary Music Curriculum:
  We can help you develop spiraling concepts for strengthening the general music curriculum.
  Duration:  All day workshop
  Fees:  $800 plus travel.
  
  
• Assessments for Elementary Music:
  Review of the National Assessment for Arts Education (Music), and/or, writing assessments for elementary music education.
  Duration/Fees:
  1 hour/$200, plus travel
  4 hour workshop, $600 plus travel.
  
  
• Centers for Music:
  Individual instruction is a priority in developing fine motor skills such as fingerings for playing the piano or mallet techniques for Orff instruments. Less structured centers for reinforcing music language can be the needed break between reading and practicing song selections.

  1 hour/$200, plus travel
  4 hour workshop, $600 plus travel.
  
  
• Music in the General Classroom:
  We take the stress out of classroom teacher music instruction! Techniques for music instruction that will cross over into the general curriculum as well.

• From Rote to Reading Music:
  How to transition from rote to reading music notation. A step by step outline. Participants play the part of the students as the instructor introduces symbols and formats for vocal instruction; peer teaching, instrument centers, composition.
  Duration:  2 hours

• Composition in the Elementary Music Curriculum:
  From 1st grade to 5th, all students can write music. We offer our field tested approach to opening the creative musical genius in all children.
  Duration:  2 hours

• Structured Lessons for Improving Classroom Management:
  Tested methods for improving classroom management through structured lessons.
  Duration:  1 hour
  Fees:  $200 plus travel.
  
  
• Mainstreaming BD, LD, ADD in General Music:
  Every child deserves music education. We present effective techniques for inclusion and successful outcomes when special learners are mainstreamed into the general music class.
  Duration:  1 hour

• Brain Based Music Instruction k/5:
  Music and brain development. How the brain is strengthened through reading, composing, listening, moving, and playing music.
  Duration:  1 hour
